Exporting Chart and Table Data

SpotLight allows you to export table data for your own reporting and analysis. Depending on the visualisation type, you can export structured data to CSV or Excel. Exports reflect any filters or selections currently applied, so your file will match the exact view you see on screen.

Exporting Table Data (CSV or Excel)

  1. Hover over the table you wish to export.
  2. Right-click anywhere within the table.
  3. From the menu, select Export and choose either CSV Export or Excel Export.
  4. Your download will include only the filtered content you see on screen. For example, if you’ve applied filters for specific grade levels or subjects, your exported file will reflect that same selection.

Note: You can also right-click and select Copy, Copy with Headers, or Copy with Group Headers to manually copy table content for use in spreadsheets or documents.

Export Scope and Permissions

  • Exports include only the data currently visible or filtered within your view.
  • All users have access to export chart images and table data.
  • Bulk or scheduled exports are not supported at this time.

Examples

In the Grade Data Table list, selecting a cell and exporting to CSV, will include only the items in the list according to your left-hand filters, such as specific Subject Groups only.
